Leaf announces new integration with ArcGIS

Leaf is proud to announce a new partnership with Esri, the global market leader in geographic information system (GIS) software, location intelligence and mapping. This collaboration gives Esri's clients an easy, no-code way to access farm data layers from Leaf's unified farm data API in Esri's ArcGIS.

ArcGIS is a platform that helps users collect, analyze, and share geospatial data. By integrating various data streams like Machine Field Operations, Field Boundaries, Imagery, and Weather, and more from sources like John Deere, Climate Fieldview, CNHi, Trimble, and more, Esri's food & agriculture customers can make more informed decisions to enhance efficiency, profitability, and sustainability.

Leaf’s unified API is now available as a no-code, plug & play integration in ArcGIS, eliminating the need to develop your own API connection to Leaf. This provides an out-of-the-box way to access clean and translated data from many sources like major machinery brands, imagery providers and weather stations via a single connection. For example, seed manufacturers can now connect variety and yield data from any major machinery brand for geospatial analysis of breeding trials, and crop insurance companies can access planted area for their customers using farm management systems or raw data files.

Leaf CEO Bailey Stockdale:

“We are constantly looking to create new partnerships with industry leaders and are excited about how working with Esri will help manufacturers, researchers, software developers, agronomists, and others consolidate and build new value with farm data. Every Esri client now has the option to use our unified API as part of the standard ArcGIS offering without writing any code. It just became even easier to collect, analyze and work with farm data.”

Adam Pittman, Commercial Agriculture Team Lead at Esri:

“We are very excited to see the work our partner Leaf is doing to address one of the major challenges that our agriculture customers face in facilitating access to agronomic data. Agronomic data enables smart decisions, such as what crops to plant for better profitability and when to harvest. With Leaf, ArcGIS users have a much easier path to accessing farm data to visualize, analyze, share, and ultimately make better business decisions with data that has not been easily accessible before.”
