We’re excited to share the latest Leaf API updates! This month we added new features to give you better control over data flow and to more easily create customized user experiences through imagery.

More control over data flow with Organization Data Sync

Managing provider data is now simpler. For providers with data organized by organization or company, Leaf’s new Organization Data Sync let’s you select specific organizations and limit data sync to just those, reducing unnecessary data.

To enable, activate organizationsDataSync configuration and use the endpoints to list and select desired organizations.

iIt is now available for John Deere only and additional providers will be added in the future.

This enables new options for creating very specific data synchronization schemes, especially in combination with the customDataSync configuration, enabling control over different levels across the grower/organization/farm/field hierarchy. Here’s how they work together:

Please contact us if you’ve previously implemented customDataSync and you now want to migrate to use only organizationDataSync. We’ll guide you through the specifics of the process customized to your exact user flow.

More information on organizationDataSync is available in the organizationData Sync Tutorial.

Customize your user experiences with operations images in GeoTIFF

Leaf now supports GeoTIFF images for Field Operations. Enable images in GeoTIFF by turning on the operationsImageAsGeoTiff configuration.

GeoTIFF’s flexibility allows you to customize symbologies to create your own styles, as shown in the example below.
